Vineyard Tours

Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo - cellar to glass

The Retreat
Duration
4 nights
Intensity
Gentle
Base
Monferrato, Piedmont

Four days across the Langhe and Monferrato with sommelier-led vertical tastings, cellar visits and a food-and-wine pairing masterclass.

This is a serious wine week disguised as a country holiday. Every day you visit two producers - one historic house, one small grower - with private tastings led by an AIS-qualified sommelier who lives in the region.

Between visits you eat: a truffle-hunter's lunch in Alba, a long Piemontese Sunday at a Slow Food-affiliated osteria, and a nine-course tasting menu built to walk you through the appellation systems.

Cellars & vineyards

Where we taste.

01

Barolo - Vietti & a young grower

A morning at a historic Castiglione Falletto house followed by a small-production organic estate in La Morra.

02

Barbaresco - Produttori del Barbaresco

The legendary Barbaresco co-op: a walk through the single-vineyard crus and a vertical of Rabajà.

03

Monferrato - Barbera & Grignolino

Two cellars closer to the villa working with under-loved local varieties. Lunch at a producer's family table.

04

Alta Langa - sparkling

The high-altitude corner of the Langhe producing serious traditional-method sparkling wine. Cellar tour and 6-glass flight.
